Seems like panic does Becky well when it comes to Solitaire. Must be that rush of adrenaline.

(So, tomatoes apparently fall under the rules of NOT ALLOWED. Wtf, man. Do you know how many tomatoes I have had in the last two days? Way too many. I had a BLT, little ones in a salad, and more tomatoes in a grilled chicken sandwich. There goes my careful avoidance of no-no foods.)

    ONTO THE IMPORTANT NEWS.

    Guess what guys.

    ...

I was right, and coconuts ARE NUTS.

So, eating that cookie breaks the rule of avoiding berries/nuts/seeds for three days before my procedure.

If I end up hunting down and seeking retribution on a couple particular souls because a) I end up in dire pain or b) they need to redo it because I didn't follow instructions, then...please turn a blind eye on the matter.

I am also alarmed by how my instructions say I should bring my will with me. I mean. MY WILL? That does not fill me with courage.

...Does anyone have Tylenol? I'm not allowed Aspirin or Ibuprofen for five days before the procedure, and my head is full of pain due to the upcoming time of the month. Oh yea, worst timing ever.

? = people who are possibly going but haven't given me solid confirmation.

Are there...any other interested parties? We still have at least one space left (assuming all of the question marks say yes). Uncertain if we'll have more spaces. Depends on who agrees to it. We have at least one space left. ALSO, there is an option to create new characters, but then someone has to know whodunnit in order to make the new clues.

It would be on December 12th and should only take around two hours. Probably in the afternoon or evening because I don't do mornings.

As I lay napping, I was struck by inspiration for my creative project for James Joyce. The background of the piece could be a collage of the various texts.

And then I realized that meant ripping pages out of books.

And my heart cracked in half, and I recoiled from the very idea. And went on ebay to see if I could find horribly torn and ruined copies of books to further desecrate.

Unfortunately, no one seems to sell such books.

So! Now I am on a quest! The texts I need are The Odyssey, Hamlet, Ulysess, and Fun Home. I shall begin my search here, then travel to the ACB boards, and...perhaps to Facebook. (Well, I know other students don't devote themselves to taking excellent care of their books, so maybe...some in really horrendous conditions might be interested. Otherwise, I will do my soul damage guys, this could result in a horcrux, and buy cheap, old editions on ebay.

What do you do with a B.A. in English?

What is my life going to be?

Four years of college and plenty of knowledge have earned me this useless degree.

I can't pay the bills yet because I have no skills yet.

The world is a big, scary place.

But somehow I can't shake the feeling that I might make a difference to the human race.

Oh, I hate you, fat cat. And I hate your friend, the bat with the bat.

Since I realized that I managed to miss out on the window of reading The Giver in school due to being in the basement reading about the fat cat, I snagged a copy at Barnes and Noble while getting a new sketchbook.

Let's see if I can figure out the major twist(s) before it happens. If anyone dares spoil the book in the comments, there will be hell to pay.

BBC-A finally has the second season of Doctor Who available On Demand. I might have marathoned episodes 2-4 (one was already gone, and five is part one of a two-parter..and I am not starting that without the second episode of it being available).

New Moon is awful. Like, it didn't even redeem itself through humor. As in it was nearly as bad as the book. The audience was also slightly awkward, in that you had me and four or five random guys scattered around the theater cracking up at rather inappropriate moments. I wish it had Vampire Baseball. Vampire Baseball somehow makes things better. That combination of absurdity and then those uniforms, ah, brilliance.

There are some things that are just examples of what is perfectly right in this world.

Lemon bundt cake goes on my version of this list. It is lemon. And icing. And deliciousness.

I first met LBC (oh yes, it has a nickname now) at NBS (Nightingale Bamford School) when I was a freshmen. Cafeteria food was already the most glorious thing I had ever come upon for lunch. It beat the cans of tuna without the least bit of effort.

Screw you, Bumblee Bee Tuna, SCREW YOU. Yes, this is what I was given in my lunchbox. Have you ever eaten tuna plain out of a can? Have you seen the looks of the other kids faces from 1st-8th grade? Do you know what it's like to learn the hard way that the tuna is NOT BONELESS. Ugh.

Cafeteria food even beat Lunchables (pizza variety), Cup Noodle, and leftover pizza from last night (oh, I'll be honest, up until the night four nights ago).

I'd stare incredulously at the students who dared to complain about the food. Seriously, this was the nectar of the gods.

LBC was the best dessert ever. I was so enamored, I would sneak back in-between classes after my lunch period to steal additional slices. Because, y'know what, there could never be enough LBC.

Of course, NBS dropped LBC by my sophomore year. (Yes, one of the first things to be viciously sacrificed for the sinister plan of making the students healthier. They started replacing the snack cookies with fruit, normal bagels with mini ones, and it was just a sad, sad thing to witness.)

This is all relative because Haverford serves LEMON BUNDT CAKE. That was a mighty happy reunion. I even stole two slices, because LBC and I, we've been separated for far too long.

    Biscuits!
So New Moon was pretty good, although it wasn't as fangirl-tastic as I assumed it would be. Granted, I didn't care much for New Moon the book and it's the only one of the series I hadn't re-read. Hadley, Noah and I went to see it together at the giant amazing AMC near their apartment. The theater was even selling shirts -- freaking shirts! -- that said Team Edward or Team Jacob on them. I was puzzled on if I ought to purchase one, but then I realized I had an Edward shirt I bought last year at home lost somewhere in the throngs of my closet. I decided against the shirt.
Also, it is too readily apparent that I am not allowed in the kitchen. Hadley was making biscuits and gravy for dinner, and she asked me and Noah to open up the tinned biscuits. I looked at the container, saw the can-like top, and I figured a can opener was appropriate. They stopped me mid-way with can opener in hand with this look of shock and horror.
"That's... not how you open up tinned biscuits. ... You tear the paper off. ... How do you not know this?"
"... I never was allowed into the kitchen much..."
    "......."

Though I will admit Jacob and Bella have better chemistry on screen than Edward and Bella. At least Jacob is passionate about things -- Edward is just kind of, "Blah blah angsty blah blah" throughout this film. The trailers also made me assume they had expanded more fighting scenes, but they hadn't. At least we have Eclipse to look forward to for that. Not that Breaking Dawn won't be a whole fiasco of blood, crazy, and WTF the whole time, but there you go. I will definitely have to go to the midnight release of that one, just to watch all the Twi-hards freak out and punch each other in the face.

Driving home, Hadley and I desperately wanted to play Freak Out the Twilight Noob on Noah and tell him exactly what happens in Breaking Dawn, but he wouldn't let us.

Anyway, erm, let's see, what else... I started playing D&D with the Kansas Nakama, though we haven't done much except pick our characters out. I am proudly a chibi elf cleric with a bow, who is technically older than everyone else yet with the mentality of the youngest one in the group. I love irony. I also got my Soi Fon costume in the mail for Naka-kon, and it seriously looks good. The only problem I'll have is setting up the wig (the hair extensions and the wig itself are separate). I also don't know what to do anymore to dress it up for my original character on Friday.
Also, anyone interested in two Renfest dresses, a full Harry Potter costume set from Alivans, and an Arrancar Orihime cosplay dress? I don't want to just get rid of them, considering what they cost me, but they're far too big now. (Yay for losing 20 lbs since June). I ought to put them up on Ebay at least, but I've never done that before. I need a crash course in Ebay-selling.
